LORD’s Day Worship - May 31, 2020
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. (Matt 5:5)
At that time JESUS answered and said, I thank THEE, O FATHER, LORD of heaven and earth, because THOU hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. (Matt 11:25)
And JESUS answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things (Luke 10:41)
And JESUS answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The LORD our GOD is one LORD: and thou shalt love the LORD thy GOD with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. (Mark 12:29-30)
Even so, FATHER for so it seemed good in THY sight. (Matt 11:26)
Wrapped in the love of GOD
Walk soft...and GOD carries us
GOD and Abraham became friends
A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. (Prov 18:24)
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I AM the ALMIGHTY GOD; walk before ME, and be thou perfect. (Gen 17:1)
And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD (Gen 19:27)
And HE said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest…and offer him there… for a burnt offering….(Gen 22:2)
And HE said, lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest GOD, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from ME. (Gen 22:12)
And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, my father: and he said, here am I, my son. And he said, behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? And Abraham said, my son, GOD will provide HIMSELF a LAMB for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. (Gen 22:7-8)
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed MY voice. (Gen 22:18)
GOD Knows the end in the beginning
HE hath made every thing beautiful in HIS time: also HE hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that GOD maketh from the beginning to the end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. (Ecclesiastes 7:8)
Hungry for GOD

We give GOD the glory
We’re eating good
In the neighborhood
By faith Abel offered unto GOD a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, GOD testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. (Hebrews 11:4)
Thus saith the LORD, the heaven is MY throne, and the earth is MY footstool: where is the house that ye build unto ME? and where is the place of MY rest? (Isaiah 66:1)
And it was in the heart of David…to build an house for the name of the LORD GOD of Israel. And the LORD said unto David…whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto MY name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart. (1 Kings 8:17-18)
But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto MY name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight. Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about…(1 Chronicles 22:8-9)
Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people (2 Chronicles 1:11)
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because GOD had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased GOD. (Hebrews 11:5)
And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years. And Enoch walked with GOD: and he was not; for GOD took him. (Genesis 5:23-24)
He stayed focused 365 years
But without faith it is impossible to please HIM: for he that cometh to GOD must believe that HE is, and that HE is a rewarder of them that diligently seek HIM. (Hebrews 11:6)
I don’t seek GOD for the reward
….Love being diligent for HIS will
…the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up…. (Psalms 69:9, John 2:17)
But without faith it is impossible to please HIM: for he that cometh to GOD must believe that HE is, and that HE is a rewarder of them that diligently seek HIM. By faith Noah, being warned of GOD of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. (Hebrews 11:6-7)
Fear with no faith = condemnation
The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets. (Proverbs 26:13)
Noah was a working preacher...he was building and preaching at the same time
By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. (Hebrews 11:8)
…come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the LORD, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a FATHER unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the LORD ALMIGHTY. (2 Corinthians 6:17-18)
Webster’s definition of sin:
an offense against religious or moral law.
an action that is or is felt to be highly reprehensible
an often serious shortcoming : fault.

St. John’s definition of sin:
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the SON of GOD was manifested, that HE might destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8)
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: (Hebrews 11:9)
For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is GOD. (Hebrews 11:10)
Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; (St. Luke 12:35)
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the SON of man cometh. (St. Matthew 25:19)
