PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR LOVE

Christ Church Worship - June 7, 2020

THOU wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on THEE: because he trusteth in THEE. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: for HE bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, HE layeth it low; HE layeth it low, even to the ground; HE bringeth it even to the dust. (Isaiah 26:3-5)

Peace I leave with you, MY peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (St. John 14:27)

For HE is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; (Ephesians 2:14)

For it is written, As I live, saith the LORD, every knee shall bow to ME, and every tongue shall confess to GOD. (Romans 14:11)

Before it’s too late,

don’t hate or discriminate

Endeavoring to keep the unity of the SPIRIT in the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:3)

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, (Heb 12:1)

Pettiness, resentment, jealousness, fear, worry, pride…

…lay all that aside

PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR LOVE

…The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. (2 Chronicles 15:2)

…HE hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (Hebrews 13:5)

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not…for the LORD thy GOD, HE it is that doth go with thee; HE will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. (Deuteronomy 31:6)

…I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. (St. Matthew 28:20)

…I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. (St. Matthew 9:13)

There is hope…and that hope is in CHRIST JESUS

If ye then be risen with CHRIST, seek those things which are above, where CHRIST sitteth on the right hand of GOD. (Colossians 3:1)

…go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow ME. (St. Matthew 19:21)

Labor not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life… (St. John 6:27)

And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but HE that came down from heaven… (St. John 3:13)

I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the FATHER, but by ME. (St. John 14:6)

He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. (St. John 10:1)

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. (St. Matthew 10:8)

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. (Isaiah 55:1)

Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people! (Jeremiah 9:1)

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. (Psalms 34:18)

My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me. This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because HIS compassions fail not. (Lamentations 3:20-22)

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. (St. Matthew 24:21-22)

GOD does not want to see man destroyed...GOD wants to save

JESUS came to save us

They are new every morning: great is THY faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:23)

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. (Isaiah 49:15)

The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in HIM. (Lamentations 3:24)

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for THOU art with me; THY rod and THY staff they comfort me. (Psalms 23:4)

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

 (Psalms 121:1-2)

The LORD is good unto them that wait for HIM, to the soul that seeketh HIM. (Lamentations 3:25)

…all things work together for good to them that love GOD…. (Romans 8:28)

It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. (Lamentations 3:26)

Thou shalt love the LORD thy GOD with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. (St. Matthew 22:37-39)

If ye fulfill the Royal Law according to the scripture, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well: (James 2:8)
